About the Role
We’re on the hunt for talented Android Developers who excel in problem-solving, programming, and building user-friendly applications using the Android SDK. As an SDE I – Android, you’ll contribute to creating maintainable and testable codebases, including API design and unit testing. What You Will Do
- Perform code reviews, write unit tests, and contribute to architectural planning and refactoring.
- Identify and resolve bugs while enhancing application performance.
- Design and develop new features and improvements for the Android platform.
- Mentor interns and provide support to team members.
- Collaborate closely with QA, Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers across teams.
- Define, design, and ship new features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What You Will Need
- Educational Background: BE/BTech/BCA/BSc in any discipline.
- Experience: 1+ years in a relevant role and experience working on two or more Android apps.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, and related ecosystems.
- Familiarity with Material Design guidelines and common UX patterns.
- Experience with popular Android libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, and Arch-components.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and Git.
- Expertise in object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and debugging tools like ADB and Proguard.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns like MVVM and their testability.
- Understanding of advanced Android concepts, including Custom Views, Accessibility Services, and background processing APIs.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
